“December 29th, 2017, I was a plus-sized bride (street size 18/20, wedding dress size 24/26) about to start shopping for my wedding dress. I had no idea what to expect, but I knew I was nervous. I decided to go to a few stores before I did my “official” dress shopping. I wanted to spare myself the potential embarrassment of not having dresses that fit me to try on. Not to mention, I wanted to figure out what I liked before I heard other people’s opinions.

Every place I called to make an appointment, I made sure I was very clear that I was a plus size bride. On multiple occasions, I was assured that the store had plenty of plus size samples in stock. That turned out not to be the case. Not all of my experiences were bad, but there was still a lot left to be desired. In the end, I did not end up with the silhouette I was in search of. There was not a sample available in my desired style, so I had to chose something else. After my dress buying experience, I started to think that this did not seem quite right. I started doing some research. The more and more I found out, I knew I needed to do my part to make this better. A wedding, a salon business, a pandemic, and a lot of hard work later, here we are. Amanda & I cannot wait to provide an amazing experience for our brides. Not just to pick any dress that fits, but their dream dress. We have hand curated a collection of GORGEOUS gowns with a curvier body in mind & have poured our hearts & souls into every detail of this shop to make sure that our brides are their most comfortable & confident self when finding their dream dress.
